We rang in the new year by expanding Wheelmap once again. A bunch of  node types have been added with attractive new icons for you to discover and map in your neighborhood. And due to popular demand, the long awaited node type “physical therapist” is among those now included.

In a new round of data expansion the Wheelmap.org IT team has pulled a total of 27 new node types from OpenStreetMap into the Wheelmap. Among the additions are business and institution types that our community has been requesting for some time now.

Now you can add wheelchair accessible places where you can get a tattoo done, get talked into a new cell phone contract or relax with a massage.
